Chart notes
DESERT KAT sprinted clear from inside, patiently handled to the lane, then drew off under hand urging. ONE HAPPY DUDE chased two wide into the turn, angled out around the bend, came five wide into the stretch, showed late run and finished a clear second. KIKI RIDE traveled in mid-pack off the rail, took the turn three then four wide and was along for third. LA MOTTA AVENUE was closest in pursuit from the two path early, fell out of range of the winner midstretch and flattened to fourth. SMOKEINTHEAIR broke a step slow, chased along the rail into the turn, tipped three wide around the bend, angled in at the top of the stretch, steered back out then angled inward again at the sixteenth pole and could not threaten. VALENTINE ROCKS broke a step slow and bumped, steered to the inside trailing the field, angled out and came five wide into the stretch, drifted back to the inside and improved position. MATTS ADVISOR was a bit rank early, went three wide into turn, angled out in upper stretch and proved no menace. DRAW NIGH followed in range from inside, chased two wide into the stretch, moved out in the lane, lost his path at the eighth pole and weakened. TONYS FEVER chased three wide to the stretch and weakened between rivals.
