Chart notes
GREENWICH VILLAGE broke in a bit, stalked the top pair then split foes to take control up the backstretch, dueled from outside into and around the turn, held a short lead over EASY COMPANY into the final furlong and held gamely to the wire. EASY COMPANY dueled inside FALCON JET with outer pair midway up the backstretch, battled GREENWICH VILLAGE into and around the bend, dug in through the lane but had to settle for second best. FALCON JET dueled from outside then chased the top pair leaving the backstretch, rounded the bend in the three path, flattened in the late stages but secured the show. WHYNOTANOTHERONE brushed leaving the gate, stalked the leaders off the inside, went two wide around the bend, moved to the inside in the lane and flattened out. STERLING SEA coaxed along outside a rival then moved inside early, angled out midway up the backstretch, chased between runners into the turn, spun three wide into the drive and failed to threaten. DREAMRIDER brushed with WHYNOTANOTHERONE at the start, raced three deep off the pace into the turn, exited the bend in the four path and proved no menace. COSMIC TRAIL broke slow and lost her path at the start, saved ground around the bend and was never a factor. MAXIMUM GLADIATOR broke in, dropped back early on the inside and failed to get involved.
