BEARY FUNNY chased three paths off the inside down the backstretch before tipping out five wide through the turn coming under coaxing with seven-sixteenths to go, angled seven wide into upper stretch, rallied outside to close in through the final furlong and was just up on the wire coming inwards and bumping MERICA'S BACK on the line in a blanket finish. ROOFER stumbled at the start, recovered under brief coaxing to duel six paths off the inside down the backstretch with EAST COAST GIRL to her inside, tucked four then three wide through the turn patiently handled, swung four to five wide into upper stretch in narrow command and was roused straightened away, came out under threat and herded MERICA'S BACK two paths just outside the eighth pole, then an additional path near the sixteenth marker before being angled in to get away from that rival, dug in and was nailed on the wire. MERICA'S BACK got steadied at the start when THREE B'S came out after an awkward beginning taking over the lane in front, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn under a ride nearing the quarter pole, swung six wide into upper stretch, rallied and was herded out two lanes to the eighth pole by ROOFER, dug in under a drive and was herded an additional lane a sixteenth from home, fought on to the finish and was bumped on the wire by BEARY FUNNY. LONG POUR chased along the inside coming under urging three furlongs from home, took the inside route into upper stretch, rallied along the inside and missed at the finish. VAN VOLLENHOVEN stumbled at the start, chased just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled four wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid but was outfinished. LEO'S REWARD three wide in pursuit, got coaxed along with five-sixteenths to go, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid but was outkicked. THREE B'S got away to an awkward beginning and recovered outwards taking over the lane of MERICA'S BACK and forcing that foe to briefly steady, chased four then three wide under urging from three furlongs out, went four wide into upper stretch, made ground but made no headway. EAST COAST GIRL led early on five paths off the inside before being engaged in head to head combat with ROOFER while lightly coaxed along from the get go, tucked three then two wide through the turn and yielded the front near the quarter pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive prominent through to the sixteenth pole, then weakened in the late stages.
