Chart notes
BIG POPPER missed the break and was unhurried well behind the rest through the early stages, started a sustained run from the half-mile pole, advanced through the turn, swung five-wide into the stretch, but was still with much to do at the top of the lane, sustained the run under steady handling and urging to get up in the final jumps despite lugging in late. PITTSBURGH was two-wide with the tracking group, took over the lead passing the three-furlong pole, led the field into the stretch, but was unable to last and could not hold off the winner in the final yards while drifting out. KADESH tracked the dueling leaders from the inside to the far trun, became boxed in midway through that turn, tipped out to the four path for the stretch run, lugged in througout the stretch run and was outkicked in the final yards. BROADWAY SKY lost footing coming out of the gate, settled mid-pack, and was mildly gaining in the end while never a serious threat. STAR SHOPPING broke in the air, settled in the middle of the main pack, finished up with interest, but was not quite doing enough in the late stages. CREDIT RIVER dueled with EXONERATED PREZ through the early stages, got the better of that one midway through the far turn but weakened near the five-sixteenths marker and had nothing left for the stretch. FOOD FOODIE lacked any early speed, raced near the back of the field, and never fired. EXONERATED PREZ dueled outside of CREDIT RIVER to the far turn, then gave way with three furlongs to run. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START. AFTER A REVIEW, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
