WILLOW BEND stalked close up between rivals, bid two wide entering the far turn, dueled with the winner, dug in gamely in the stretch run and came up second best. CENTER STAGE raced off the pace inside, advanced inside on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied outside.
