Chart notes
FREDDIE BY A NOSE unhurried in the beginning, moved up on the inside around the final turn, angled to the outside and proved the best late. PITCH AND RUN vied for early lead, forwardly placed throughout, drove clear down the home stretch, couldn't match strides late with the winner, but was best of others. STRONG PROSPECT lacked early speed, came around the final turn on the outside, proved no match for the top two and was along for third. THROWIN' SHADE pressed the pace, raced close throughout and lacked a late kick. STAR READY raced in the middle of the field, saved ground around the final turn and put forth an even effort. GOTTA DEAL hopped at the start, raced in the rear, moved up on the inside, but was no threat. STIFF DRINK vied for the early lead and faded. NATIVE STAR raced within contention and made a steady retreat. GAME AND GORMLEY lacked early speed and showed little.
