Chart notes
FORTUNATE SON rated off the pace inside into the far turn, angled off the inside took aim three wide approaching the eighth pole, collared the pace setter in upper stretch, held safe under strong handling. CANDY MAN CAN clean away from the gate, steady progress between runners down the backside, tipped out circled the lead group five deep into the lane, when finally switching leads in deep stretch, rallied with good energy for the place. CANDY MAN MARTIN broke sharp, pressed then chased loose horse into the far turn, collared in upper stretch, stayed on willingly for the show money. JACK'S ALOHA four deep avoided trouble around the first turn, roused on same four wide placing leaving the quarter pole, never fired through the stretch. EL PACHO away in good order, found the front around the first turn, steadied off loose foe mid-way down the backside, weakened through the lane. UNION BRANCH forced well wide by loose foe, never recovered down the backside, faltered through the lane. CEDAR RUNS FIBER fractious in the gate, stumbled over knees lost rider at the start, walked off. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQURY LOOKING AT THE START OF THE RACE, AFETER REVIEW THE RESULT STOOD OFFICIAL NO CHANGE.
