Chart notes
MAN'S CHOICE broke aletly and was sent to the front, easily made the lead and proceeded to set slow fractions to the far turn while racing clear of the rest of the field, got some mild pressure from a pair of rivals late on the far turn, but repelled those bids and drew clear under steady handling and intermittent urging through the stretch. ATLAS FALLS unhurried from the start, settled far behind through the early stages, then started a forward move with three furlongs to run, bid three-wide into the stretch and rallied to gain the place. VECCHI tracked behind MAN'S CHOICE through the early stages, then made an early run at that one near the three-furlong pole, was unable to go with the winner but kept to task late, only to be outkicked for second. SEEKING FREEDOM tracked the pacesetter two-wide, moved up to challenge heading into the far turn, got to within a length near the five-sixteenths, but proved otherwise match for that rival was outfinished for a minor award. SMOOCHER was the inside horse of a trio tracking in the middle of the strung-out field, and lacked a rally. DRILL CITY tracked in mid-pack three-wide then had little to offer in the late stages. JIM'S RIVER RUNNER raced between horses mid-pack, then faltered in the stretch while failing to change leads.
