Chart notes
LEVON broke a step slowly, was a bit keen while off of the early pace, pulled on the rider into the backstretch run and advanced between rivals nearing the half-mile pole, chased three wide into the far turn then confronted HOT LEGS ROMOLO nearing the top of the lane, closed determinedly into the final furlong, wore down the game runner-up in the final sixteenth and was up in time to prevail. HOT LEGS ROMOLO broke alertly and was sent for the early lead, set his own pace to the backstretch, dictated terms to the quarter pole then met the bid of LEVON nearing the furlong grounds, gamely battled to the final sixteenth, was bested in deep stretch and was clear of the rest for second. PLEASEUSETHEPORTAL settled off of the early pace and saved ground to the first turn, maintained an inside path along the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the far turn then angled out to upper stretch, offered a mild late rally to the final sixteenth, could not impact the top pair late but was clear in the end for third. FIVE TWENTY SUNSET settled in the second flight, raced three then four wide into the first turn and was widest into the backstretch, tracked the decent pace to the half-mile marker, chased into the far turn, ran in pursuit three then four wide into the stretch and could not muster the needed late response. LET ME HELP YOU broke a step slowly then was unhurried in the early stages, settled to the backstretch then advanced between rivals nearing the far turn, got caught in tight at the three-eighths pole, swung three then four wide to upper stretch, could not find the needed response in the lane and finished evenly. SIR LUCAS showed early speed and was forwardly placed leaving the start, went up and stalked the decent pace into the backstretch, chased HOT LEGS ROMOLO into the far turn, ran in pursuit into upper stretch, could not keep pace to the final furlong and weakened late. MONGOLIAN SPRING settled to the first turn and was unhurried into the backstretch run, trailed into the far turn, swung widest to upper stretch and did not factor in the late stages. BIG BOWIE settled in the second flight leaving the start, tracked between rivals to the backstretch and was well placed nearing the half-mile, chased between foes into the far turn, gave way at the quarter marker and came up empty in the stretch drive.
