Chart notes
GRAND ACADEMIC unhurried in the early part, moved up on the outside around the second turn, made a wide rally and was going away at the end. PERFECT EDGE went to the front, drove clear, saved ground, proved no match late for the winner, but held on for second. DOCTORED DEAL raced within striking distance, saved ground around the final turn, made a late bid and was outfinished for second. MCLAREN VALE pressed the early pace, had an outside trip and lacked a late kick. NASTY HABIT showed early speed and faded down the home stretch. HOOSIER void of early speed and showed little.
