Chart notes
HONEY'S TO BLAME broke back, moved up steadily while well out in the strip up the backstretch, challenged four wide midway on the turn, three wide into the lane when gaining command, drew out steadily to the wire while being kept to task. CATTLE BARON in the second flight up the backstretch while steadying a couple of times in traffic, raced in the two path through the turn, rallied to prove clearly second best through the lane while never a threat to the winner. LIL TRICK broke well, set or forced the pace for a half along the inside, proved no match when headed by the winner into the stretch, could not contain the runner up late while narrowly salvaging the show. MAKESHIFT'S LEGACY broke on top, vied up front while between horses for a half then also to faltered into the lane while just inside the winner. GLOBAL HEAT WAVE void of early foot, two path into the lane, improved position through some traffic while never a serious threat. SIOUX EMPIRE within striking distance while three wide in the second flight, moved a bit closer while four wide turning for home, failed to sustain that advance through the lane. HUMOROUS SAINT broke forwardly, vied three wide and inside the winner far turn, fell back then drifted out in upper stretch, continued to weaken. AMORE dwelt at the start, raced well back for a half, improved position by passing mostly tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. IGNITING EMBERS in mid pack and inside, shuffled back along the rail into the turn, fell back and did not threaten. ARCO THUNDER lacked speed along the inside, saved ground to no avail. FLEETWOOD JACK was never a factor. BECAUSE I'M HAPPY was finished before a half.
