Chart notes
SOUND OF VICTORY tracked the pacesetter close up on the inside, bided time through the far turn while waiting for running room, took the inside path into the stretch, and finished up strong under steady handling and urging to get the nod over a determined rival on the outside. PARKWAY settled three deep with the trio at the back through the first half, ranged up to contest the lead leaving the three-furlong pole, responded when set down at the top of the stretch, and closed willingly but came up short in the end. RIVETAGE lost the path and steadied after the start, went three wide through the far turn, then rallied five-wide in the stretch to move up and grab the minor award. CHARMING TIGER tracked two-wide through the early stages, made a bid for the lead leaving the three-furlong pole, took a slight lead into the stretch, but was outfinished in the final yards. PASS LINE settled near the back of the compact field but not too far from the front, was blocked late on the far turn and into the stretch but did not rally when clear. ZED made the lead without much effort, then opened up by two down the backstretch, led the way into the far turn, then yielded when confronted near the quarter pole and had nothing left for the stretch.
