FORTUNATE RYDER assumed early command then contested the pace with AND THATS MY STORY into the backstretch run, disputed the pace from the inside heading into the far turn, took command to upper stretch and led into the final furlong, dug in and met the bid of GRAND LIAM into the final sixteenth, held off the runner-up in deep stretch and kept to task in the final yards to prevail. GRAND LIAM settled leaving the start and trailed to the first turn, made an outside middle move into the backstretch run, tracked four to five wide approaching the far turn, rallied to upper stretch and was set down for the drive, responded well into the late stages, could not get by the determined winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. AND THATS MY STORY was forwardly placed in the early stages, went up and contested the pace outside of FORTUNATE RYDER, disputed the moderate pace with that foe into the far turn, was repelled into upper stretch, yielded to the top pair in the lane and was a clear third. XIAO LONG raced close up to the early pace while three deep, tracked the leading pair into the backstretch run, chased three wide into the far turn, could not sustain his run into the stretch and flattened out. RED SKY MORNING settled in mid-pack, saved ground along the backstretch run, coaxed two wide and between rivals into the far turn, swung three wide to upper stretch and lacked the needed late response. KID KAOS settled to the first turn, advanced outside of rivals along the backstretch run, chased the leading pair two wide and between foes into the far turn, was outkicked to upper stretch then weakened in the final stages. EFFICACY allowed to settle early, coaxed three wide along the backstretch run, got caught in traffic between foes heading into the far turn, chased three wide to the quarter pole and did not threaten in the late stages. KENSINGTON AVENUE settled off of the early pace then was caught a bit in tight into the first turn, coaxed two wide along the backstretch, ran in pursuit into the far turn, angled out for the stretch drive and did not rally late. SHER HAN rated just off of the early pace and saved ground to the first turn, was well placed to the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the far turn, could not muster the needed response to upper stretch and gave way in the drive. MATTY B GOOD settled while saving ground to the first turn, was unhurried along the backstretch run, saved ground to the quarter marker and did not factor in the stretch drive.
