Chart notes
MOONLIT COURAGE chased three then two wide around the first turn, rounded the far turn three wide under coaxing, drew alongside GEMADINI past the eighth pole and wore down the runner-up. GEMADINI showed the way on the inside, two wide into the far turn, met the bid from RECKLESS RIDE at the five-sixteenths pole, put that rival away outside the eighth pole, confronted by MOONLIT COURAGE shortly after and yielded grudgingly late. GRETA'S GHOST bobbled leaving the gate, settled three then two wide on the first turn, angled in on the backstretch, eased out around the far turn, came three wide into the lane and showed a mild response to gain third and whittle the gap late. RECKLESS RIDE sat off the pace on the inside, moved into range in the middle stages, put in a bid from the rail late on the far turn, failed to kick on with GEMADINI midstretch and flattened out. EASTWICK tracked four then three wide early, went two wide into the far turn, lost ground while moving out a few paths and weakened in the drive. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
