Chart notes
ALWAYS ON CAY prompted the pace three to four wide, pounced from the outside and under a ride leaving the three eighths, forged clear into the lane, opened up under strong handling in mid stretch, switched over to his left lead in deep stretch and held sway. SCRATCHY APACHE , off slowly after breaking a bit outward and bumping with PEPPER JACK, corrected and settled well off the pace, gained inside past the five sixteenths then was briefly paused approaching the lane, got through soon after and closed gamely. EL DIAMANTE NEGRO broke forward despite a slight hop, lost ground five wide while chasing the leaders, circled six wide into the stretch and closed steadily while switching over to his correct lead very late. STREET VENDOR , sluggish away, lagged back, raced three wide into the lane, worked between runners in the drive and had a slow gain. PEPPER JACK , bumped at the break, edged up inside near the half, took closer order past the five sixteenths, eased out a path into the lane and faded. MANDELA EFFECT moved up to the inside of foes to take command after a furlong, set the pace off the inside, wandered outward after being overtaken by the winner and weakened through the drive. FORT NECESSITY drafted back early, raced three wide and to the inside of a rival mid turn, angled five wide to race between runners into the stretch and faded. RHODIUM RUNNER had speed between horses, pressed about three wide to the three eighths then tired. This race was originally hand timed, and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
