Chart notes
COOL COUPLE settled early, stayed in the two path on the turn, swung four wide at the head of the lane, remained on his left lead, took command near the sixteenth pole and drove clear. CACIQUE ABARRIO showed no early foot, raced in the two path on the turn and in the stretch, moved to the inner rail inside the eighth pole and rallied. SPELLED WELL lacked speed, was very wide turning for home and rallied late outside foes. PICARO gained the lead in the two path between horses mid way on the turn, went clear in upper stretch and weakened the final sixteenth of a mile. BREEZE THE BAYOU stumbled leaving the starting gate, rushed up outside horses down the backstretch, offered a three wide bid on the turn then weakened. JACKSON'S ROAR chased the pace, angled out leaving the turn and tired. MARIACHI JUSTICE lacked speed, swung wide in upper stretch and failed to be a factor. GOLDEN TEST made the lead soon after the break, saved ground on the turn and gave way in upper stretch.
