Chart notes
RICO SUAVE jumped out to a clear lead early, widened on the turn, then went unchallenged through the stretch. ESTOICO tracked three-wide early, traveling well, responded when asked to quicken approaching the three-furlong pole, got squeezed between horses at the top of the stretch, but finished up well, was not getting to the winner but finished clear of the rest for second. MY TROOPER raced between horses in the tracking group down the backstretch, made a mild bid from the three-furlong pole but flattened out a bit in deep stretch. SHELTOWEES BLING chased RICO SUAVE two-deep down the backstretch, then came under a ride past the three-furlong pole, came out a bit in upper stretch, made light contact with ESTOICO, and was unable to produce a late bid. RINGTHATBELL was outpaced through the early stages and was never a threat. UNO NOIR was briefly close up along the rail to the turn, then started to retreat from the seven-sixteenths marker and had nothing to offer in the stretch. THERE WAS A STEWARD INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN. AFTER A REVIEW, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
