CHUPAPI MUNYAYO last away, trailed early outside, swung five wide into the lane, finished with good energy to be closing the gap on the winner late. STOMPING HOTROD within striking distance distance while three wide, moved a bit closer three wide and inside the winner turning for home, was put in tight when straightened for home, continued in some traffic, clear final furlong, finished up evenly. MACHO RONNIE broke on top, set the pace inside, dueled turn along the inside, stopped in the drive. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN THROUGH UPPER STRETCH AND A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER AND TRAINER OF STOMPING HOTROD AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
