Chart notes

RELISH THE RIDE was last away but pulled to be up close racing along the rail in the run down the backstretch, poked a head in front at the seven-sixteenths pole, then dueled with MR LOOCH from that point with the pair going well clear of the rest, both engaged in a spirited battle to the wire, kept a nose in front and prevailed in a thriller. MR LOOOCH seized the early lead, then slowed the pace way down for the first half-mile, responded when RELISH THE RIDE pressed the issue on the inside after passing the half-mile pole, then set down with that one in a heated duel, exchanging blows to the finish, but came up a head short at the line. NEED TO KNOW BASIS was the widest of the trio at the back, then outfinished the rest to take the minor award. INTO GOLD raced between horses in the tracking group, then was unable to produce a meaningful rally in the stretch. INDIAN FEVER raced two-deep around the first turn, then settled four-wide down the backstretch, owing to the slow pace was close up to the far turn, then unable to keep up in the late stages.
