Chart notes
GOLDEN FLAG , quickly to the front, was joined from the outside after a furlong, dueled under some rating, was headed three furlongs out, came back to regain command past the five sixteenths, spurted clear under a drive in upper stretch then proved resolute while steadily hand ridden the final yards. THUNDERIAN , well placed off the dueling leaders, edged closer while saving ground past the five sixteenths, eased out in the drive and kept on gamely to out kick TRIGGER POINT for the place. TRIGGER POINT stalked the embattled leaders while off the inside, gained three to four wide while under a hustling ride past the five sixteenths, continued pursuit past the sixteenth pole then flattened out very late. EXCITEMENT , well back early, raced three wide into the lane, swung out for the final three sixteenths and offered a slight response. RUFFIN engaged the winner from the outside after a furlong, dueled, moved to a slim lead aftert three furlongs, failed to kick on entering the lane and retreated. KINDERHOOK , away well, stalked the leaders while about four wide, lacked a punch past the five sixteenths and faltered.
