Chart notes

DIAMOND RIM pressed the pace along the inside, early on, then rallied down the lane, just getting up in late stretch to win with a driving finish. COASTAL KID was near the leaders, racing on the outside down the backstretch, then rallied down the lane, but it was not enough and got up for second. SIR BREGOVIC made the early lead away from the gates, but faltered in the stretch drive and hanging on for show. HAPPY DANCER was mid field away from the gates, racing wide throughout with a mild late rally down the lane. BIG JACK showed no early speed from the gates, dropped in to save ground, but had no late run. PERFECT PRANKSTER was in contention early on, then angled out in the stretch drive but never fired. AZTEC SUN stalked the early pace and offered a mild bid around the turn, but gave way in the stretch. KING AND COUNTRY had no early foot away from the gates, but offered a mild bid around the turn, then faded down the lane.
