Chart notes
KINSMAN REDEEMER was bumped at the start, chased the pace in the early stages, moved up through the turn to begin contesting the pace by the three eighths, pulled away at the three sixteenths and held firm. DR. NIKO broke outwardly at the start to bump into foes, claimed the early lead, vied for command in the turn before giving way to the winner at the three sixteenths. DONEGAL DREAMER found position around the middle of the pack, closed some ground late in the stretch to earn the show award. RED MOSCATO settled off the pace, moved up through the turn to enter the stretch between horses but was unable to rally. HOMELAND MESSA was bumped and pinched back at the start, trailed in the early stages, made minor improvements. STORM STRATEGY opted to race around the middle of the pack on the inside, retreated at the three sixteenths. ITZCOATL was bumped at the start and pinched back, trailed at the half, eased across.
