Chart notes
MOON SPUN dueled for the lead outside a rival in the two path, made a two wide bid to be clear by the quarter pole, came three wide off the bend and was engaged by HAULIN ICE off the bend but held that rival off gamely to prove best under a drive. HAULIN ICE stalked the dueling leaders and moved out to make a three wide bid nearing the quarter pole, came four wide off the bend and loomed boldly but hung in the final furlong. LOVE APPEALS chased the pace and was two to three wide on the turn and came four wide off the bend and kept on willingly and got the nod for the show award late. FLAMINGO WAY was allowed to settle early, advanced two wide on the turn and came two wide off the bend while making a bid, then was boxed by the furlong marker and moved out but could not find room while in traffic and then checked late causing to lose the show award. CHOOSE JOY chased the pace from the outside and came five wide into the lane and had mild late rally but needed more. ETRURIAN dueled for the lead on the inside and fell back nearing the quarter pole and weakened in the drive. MIZOULA (IRE) was allowed to settle along the inside but offered no rally.
