Chart notes
INDEPENDENCE RISE pressed the early pace from the outside, then dueled with the leader around the turn, got a head in front in the stretch drive and wouldn't be denied, holding on for the win. FORTY TWENTY made the early lead, fending off pressure from the outside, then got headed going into the stretch drive and gave way grudgingly. NITRO BOOST stalked the pace from the rail, then offered a bid around the turn, angling out down the lane, but it was not enough. OSWALD got off slow, away from the gates, racing on the outside and had a mild rally in late stretch. LITTLEYELLOWJACKET was near the back early on, never fired but passed tiring rivals down the lane. PI TIME was near the leaders, early on, racing between horses, then dropped back in the stretch drive. MAESTRO ITALIANO was mid field down the backstretch, racing on the inside but faded early.
