Chart notes
BARRISTER PROOF allowed to settle early, roused into the turn, advanced between rivals along the bend then loomed four wide at the quarter pole, took command into the stretch, drew clear inside of the furlong marker and drew away while in hand in the late stages. KANGAROO COAST allowed to settle in the early running, coaxed while widest along the turn, swung widest to upper stretch, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth but bested the rest. SEATTLE SURF prominent in the early running, stalked the leading pair to the turn, chased from the inside along the bend then vied for the lead at the quarter pole, battled into upper stretch, yielded in the final furlong and was a clear third. YELLOW JACKET bobbled a bit leaving the start and was last away from the gate, was unhurried in the early going, saved ground to the quarter marker, passed tiring rivals in the stretch drive but could not impact the leaders late. CHICK COMMAND forwardly placed in the early running, went up and disputed the pace three wide into the turn, vied three wide nearing the quarter marker, lost position into upper stretch then gave way in the final stages. MY BUDDY GEORGE hustled away from the start, assumed early command and held a narrow lead along the backstretch, dueled inside of CHICK COMMAND into the turn, was overtaken to upper stretch then tired in the drive.
