Chart notes
HOMETOWN BOUND set a clear pace in the three to two path, met an inner challenge entering the lane, repelled that foe in upper stretch then held sway. TRENDSETTER trailed in the two path, shifted out to the four path in midstretch and rallied to reach place at the wire. BLESSED WARRIOR stalked along the inside, bid inside of the leader entering the lane, but was repelled in upper stretch, shifted out while sustaining pursuit in the final furlong but got nailed for place. SHIPMATE stalked in the four to three path and gave way. SOMETIME tracked in the five path, then faded in the three path around the turn.
