OAKS HONEY was forwardly placed while between rivals into the first turn, prompted the moderate pace along the backstretch, vied for the lead into the far turn, battled ORVILLE B to upper stretch then put that rival away leaving the furlong pole, kept to task to deep stretch and proved best late. MUCHO PRIMO settled in the second flight, tracked the moderate pace three to four wide along the backstretch, chased four wide to the quarter pole then ran in pursuit into upper stretch, chased the winner to the final sixteenth, could not reel in OAKS HONEY in deep stretch and was second best. ORVILLE B stalked the early leading pair three wide, was well placed to the backstretch run, vied for the lead three wide at the quarter marker then battled into the stretch, yielded in the final sixteenth and held safely in the end for third. CARSON N SPENCE allowed to settle early on, trailed to the half-mile marker, was roused five then six wide to upper stretch, made a mild late bid but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch. RUMBLE STRIP RON settled in the second flight and between rivals, tracked the moderate pace to the half-mile pole, waited behind foes nearing the quarter marker, lacked the needed response when called upon in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. WATCHOUTFORWEAVER bobbled at the start and was off a bit slowly, recovered to be well placed while saving ground into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace to the half-mile, lost ground into the far turn, trailed into the stretch and gave way. GOTTOMAKEITHAPPEN hustled for the early lead, took command into the first turn, set a prompted pace into the backstretch, met the bid of OAKS HONEY into the far turn, was overtaken into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
