BLUE NOMORE was caught a bit in tight leaving the break and was off a step slowly, settled to the first turn, was well placed while tracking between rivals along the backstretch, bid two wide nearing the quarter marker, made a wide rally to upper stretch, took command into the final furlong and kept to task under steady late handling. PAINT THE TOWN away a bit slowly from the gate, settled to the first turn then advanced between runners along the backstretch run, chased two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the stretch, could not reel in the winner late but was along in time for the place. OVID hard sent away from the gate, vied for the lead to the first turn then disputed the pace outside of MAN'S CHOICE into the backstretch run, dueled to the far turn then took command and led to the quarter pole, met the bid of BLUE NOMORE into upper stretch, yielded to the top pair in the final sixteenth and was a clear third. C V DYNAMIC broke in at the start and crowded inner rivals, settled three wide to the first turn, unhurried along the backstretch run, roused two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, mounted a mild rally in the stretch but could not impact the top three late. MAN'S CHOICE was prominent to the first turn, engaged with OVID into the backstretch run and disputed the pace inside of that rival heading to the half-mile, could not keep pace into the far turn and gave way past the quarter pole. TEMPERED DREAM was squeezed at the start then steadied off of heels in the early stages, settled while saving ground to the first turn, was well placed along the backstretch run, took an awkward step and lost position approaching the far turn, gave way into the far turn and came up empty in the drive.
