Chart notes
AZTEC MELODY very fractious in the gate, broke a step slow when the bell rung, quickly recovered cruised into contention three wide approaching the quarter pole, collared the leader turning into the lane, kicked away with good energy through the wire. COUNT THE FLOWERS broke sharp, set the pace along the rail around the turn, under pressure leaving the furlong marker, wandered off stride in upper stretch, straitened up finished willingly to save the place award. SARONIC BAY raced well back three wide around the turn, picked up momentum four wide from the furlong marker, rallied in deep stretch for the show money. SPARKLEINYOUREYE slow into stride, circled six wide into the lane, showed interest late, need more for the final spot on the podium. VERDI'S SURPRISE chased the pace two wide around the turn, slipped inside foe leaving the furlong marker, steadied in upper stretch, flattened out through the final stages. CRAZY ANITA hustled up through the chute, pressed inside from the quarter pole, angled out into the lane, weakened through the final stages. PALACIO pressed off the pace three wide around the turn, faded through the lane. MOON ROX very fractious in the gate, broke slow, never factored. THERE WAS A JOCKEY'S OBJECTION IN THIS RACE, THE RIDER OF VERDI'S SURPRISE CLAIMDE FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF COUNT THE FLOWERS FOR INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH, AFTER THE JUDGE'S REVIEW COUNT THE FLOWERS WAS DISQUAILFIED AND PLACE FIFTH.
