FEVER NIGHT coaxed from the gate, dueled in hand along the inside of EGYPTIAN, got joined three furlongs out by the top one, came under urging with five-sixteenths to run, took the inside route into upper stretch, yielded the front at the three-sixteenths pole, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to preserve the place honors. EGYPTIAN three wide into the first turn, tucked to the two path through that bend and engaged FEVER NIGHT in head to head combat albeit in hand and through sensible splits, had the top one advance outside midway on the far turn and came under encouragement in response, spun three wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to the wire. MAGNI coaxed from the start, chased along the inside coming under a ride at the seven-sixteenths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch, tired.
