Chart notes

THAT'S FUNNY dropped back after the start, was reserved off the pace, gained under urging in the three then four path on the turn, made a bid at the quarter-pole, kicked clear into upper stretch, responded well under the crop in the drive and proved much the best under strong urging. BLENHEIM BABY settled near the back, was urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the inside to the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and finished willingly for the place. SPIRIT OF ESTHER went to the front and set the early pace, lost the lead inside the five-eighths pole then chased the new leader, saved ground on the turn and weakened while able to get the show. CARA'S CHIANTI pressed the early pace on the outside then chased the leader, went around the turn in the three path, made a bid between horses near the quarter-pole, lost touch with the winner into upper stretch, drifted out around the furlong marker and tired. ITWILLBEFUN tossed her head at the start and was off slow, steadied off heels early then moved to the outside, rushed up to get the lead inside the five-eighths pole then went clear, rounded the turn in the two path, lost the advantage near the quarter-pole and capitulated. WIDDERSHINS was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the four then five path, floated into the eight path entering the stretch and failed to respond.
