Chart notes
ROBUSTA took control and moved inside, cleared EASY COMPANY late on the clubhouse turn, kicked away on the far turn, continued clear under a drive into the final sixteenth and held on approaching the wire. CHEROKEE NATION threw his head at the start to lose a couple lengths, chased in the two path around the first turn, tipped three wide on the far turn, rallied outside rivals down the lane, drew alongside CHEROKEE NATION nearing the wire but ran out of time. BLACKSMITH stalked from inside, lost ground under asking on the far turn, trailed into the stretch, moved off the fence int the lane, came with a late run between rivals and got outclosed for second. ERUPTION stalked in the three path to the far turn, fell out of range while moving to the two path on the far turn, also moved out in the lane and finished with late run between rivals but was edged for the place and show. EASY COMPANY was closest in pursuit in the two path early, drew alongside the leader for a bit on the backstretch then chased again into the far turn, ridden along in the two path then next to the fence, chased within striking distance into deep stretch and could not summon the needed late kick.
