FELONIOUS contested the pace between horses, was asked in the two then three path on the turn, battled with the runner-up under a drive into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while clear for the show. GOOD ILLUSION settled off the pace, moved closer with about six furlongs to run, chased while moving from the inside to the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. COST EFFECTIVE was rated off the pace under a snug hold, moved from the two path to the four path while let out on the turn, chased in the six path into the stretch and had nothing left. FLEET N READY bumped soundly with a rival at the start, pressed the pace between horses, dropped back outside the five-eighths pole, came up empty in the four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and faltered. FEROCE pressed the pace on the inside of opponents, drew even for the lead inside the three-quarter pole, was urged along while inside to the two path on the turn, dropped back late on that bend and faded.
