Chart notes
STRIKING NOTES unhurried away from the start, advanced into the backstretch run then was caught a bit in tight while between rivals nearing the half-mile marker, angled out and was roused five wide at the quarter pole, bid to upper stretch and closed determinedly in the final furlong, wore down CAITLIN FEVER in deep stretch and was up in time to prevail. CAITLIN FEVER settled to the first turn, advanced into the backstretch run and tracked the pace four wide nearing the half-mile marker, roused four wide into the far turn, took command into upper stretch and was set down for the drive, met the bid of STRIKING NOTES into the final sixteenth, was bested by that rival in deep stretch and was clear of the rest for second. MARK OF VICTORY settled while saving ground in the early stages, was well placed to the half-mile marker, got caught in tight into the far turn and lacked room nearing the quarter marker, angled three wide to upper stretch, was outkicked in the final furlong but kept on to be a clear third. PINK CHANNEL showed speed away from the start and assumed early command, set a contested pace to the backstretch then disputed the pace inside of rivals heading into the far turn, was overtaken into upper stretch and gave way in the drive. COCONUT DREAMS broke a step slowly, was keen while close up and outside of rivals in the early stages, went up and contested the pace between foes into the backstretch run, dueled for command into the far turn, could not keep pace into upper stretch and faded in the lane. NOT A WORD was forwardly placed away from the start, rated just off of the early pace and stalked three wide into the backstretch run, vied for the lead three wide and between foes at the quarter pole, was outkicked into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong.
