Chart notes
BAXLEY , a forward factor three wide leaving the backstretch, gained command outside PAY ZONE leaving the bend and drew off under steady encouragement. SAINT GOAR , never far back, circled the turn four wide and rallied outside. MIGHTY LES , angled outside mid way on the backstretch, was five deep turning for home and rallied mildly. EDDIE M advanced four wide on the turn and weakened in mid stretch. CHARLESTON lacked speed, raced in the four path on the turn and failed to rally. FIVEFIVE SIX CHAMP , sent into contention leaving the backstretch, stayed along the inner rail and gave way on the turn. PAY ZONE sprinted clear and moved to the inner rail leaving the backstretch, remained inside and faltered in upper stretch.
