Chart notes
C'EST MAGNIFIQUE trailed distantly in the early stages, began an impressive charge down the inside of the stretch at the quarter to take command at the sixteenth, pulled away a couple more lengths before the finish. SILVER HALO set a pressured pace from the inside, pulled away a few lengths in the upper stretch, grudgingly gave way to late drive in the final sixteenth. SAND STREET stalked the pace three wide, backed off down the stretch, just held for the show award. SARATOGA SLACK was fractious in the paddock, pressed the pace between foes, flattened out down the stretch to miss out on a minor award. BYWORD raced off the pace, made improvements along the outside of the stretch. STEELY EYE broke a step slow, gained position along the inside of the turn, angled out six wide in the stretch but had nothing to give. WESTEROS was rated between rivals, weakened down the stretch. ALLIED COMMANDER raced off the pace, trailed just after the quarter, made no impact.
