Chart notes
THUNDERIAN was allowed to settle early, then moved up approaching the half to join the pace three-wide, poked a head in front at the top of the stretch while being confidently handled, engaged in a spirted battle with a pair of foes to the inside, then pulled clear in the final yards and hit the wire just ahead of a fast closing rival on the outside. RAMSEY chased the main pack early with only one horse behind, swung out five-wide for the stretch run, and produced a steady rally to get up for second. TRIGGER POINT hustled up to take the early lead, then was overtaken by a pair of rivals near the half, fought back, and remained a factor into the stretch, finished well despite being in tight quarters late, but came up short in a solid effort. DON'T STOP broke well but ceded the lead to race close up in a stalking position, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong pole, came five-wide into the stretch, and finished well but could not quite get there in the final yards. EXCITEMENT broke well, pressed the pace three-wide, hooked in with THUNDERIAN from the half-mile pole, was in-tight between horses in a spirited stretch battle then weakened inside the sixteenth pole. DROPKICK MURPHY stumbled at the break and chased throughout.
