BACK EAST raced off the pace inside, advanced inside on the turn, angled out at the top of the lane, rallied three wide, dueled, gained a short lead at the sixteenth marker and got the nod at the wire. DARVESH stumbled at the start, was outrun early, advanced inside, angled out at the quarter pole, came five wide into the lane, rallied outside, dueled to the finish and missed. HEY BUDDY vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely on the rail in the stretch run and held for third. CHARLIE'S EXPRESS vied between rivals for the early lead, dueled two wide on the turn, led into the stretch, dueled again and weakened.
