MALDINI coaxed from the start, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked five then four wide through the turn, tipped six wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick to secure the place honors. GRAND COMMANDER grew a bit fractious in the gate inspired by WHITBY and broke open the stall door prior to the start, stumbled at the start recovering inwards and trading a bump with WAIT FOR ME, then got bumped by FISCAL DRAG, who broke inwards, chased nine paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking to the two path midway on the turn, angled back out to swing nine wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to secure the show honors. SOLO DANCING chased three then two wide under prolonged encouragement from the half mile pole, angled seven to eight wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. WHITBY grew a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, got coaxed from the gate at the break, vied inside a pair of foes two to three paths off the rail down the backstretch before tucking inside through the turn, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the late stages. PRINCE OF DANCE vied four paths off the inside down the backstretch between foes, tucked to the two path through the turn and came under encouragement three furlongs out, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, yielded the front straightened away and weakened. WAIT FOR ME traded a bump at the start with GRAND COMMANDER, chased five then four wide down the backstretch before tucking three wide through the turn, tipped four wide into upper stretch and tired. FISCAL DRAG grew fractious and broke open the stall door prior to the start, broke in at the start bumping GRAND COMMANDER, chased seven to eight paths off the inside down the backstretch, went five wide through the turn and then ten wide into upper stretch, faltered, and was eased home to the finish.
