Chart notes
GUNNER GABRIEL , pinched back leaving the starting gate, raced behind horses, swung out leaving the turn, floated to the six path in upper stretch, drifted in when taking the lead near the eighth pole and held sway. CHIEF BUCKEYE , four wide on the turn, worked between horses in mid stretch and rallied outside the winner. GENERAL WINSTON chased the pace from the three path around the turn, floated to the four path at the top of lane, gained a short lead, drifted in near the sixteenth pole and weakened. MUCHO PRIMO bore in leaving the starting gate, circled the turn four wide, swung to the seven path in upper stretch and had a slight rally. QUIET AMIGO raced in the middle of the pace on the turn, angled in, challenged for the lead inside horses in mid stretch and was steadied in tight quarters near the sixteenth pole. GAPPER trailed to the stretch, swung to the eight path in upper stretch and passed tired rivals. RUMBLE STRIP RON advanced four deep leaving the turn and weakened late. PRIVATE DRIVE , a forward factor inside horses leaving the backstretch, weakened leaving the turn. EL MARRO set a pressured pace along the rail, bumped with HOTROD BOBBY in upper stretch then gave way. HOTROD BOBBY prompted the pace outside EL MARRO, bumped with that one in upper stretch and faltered. SERENDIPITOUS was outrun.
