BOOKS settled and saved ground to the first turn, was unhurried to the half-mile marker and trailed into the far turn, angled out and split rivals into upper stretch, responded and rallied into the final furlong, reeled in MY MUNNINGS MODEL in deep stretch and was up in time for a determined win. MY MUNNINGS MODEL was forwardly placed away from the start, tracked the pace between foes into the first turn, was well placed to the backstretch then bid three wide into the second turn, took command into upper stretch and sprinted clear into the final furlong, kept to task while clear to the final sixteenth, was caught by the oncoming winner in deep stretch and bested the rest. MONGOLIAN FROST was shuffled back a bit in the early running and settled to the first turn, coaxed two wide to the quarter pole, was caught a bit in tight to upper stretch, bid between rivals into the final furlong, was outkicked by the top pair into the final sixteenth but kept on late to earn the show honors. BENNY BUCKETS showed good speed away from the start and disputed the early pace, engaged with THIRTY SECONDS OUT and dueled outside of that rival into the backstretch run, disputed the solid pace to the far turn and led to the quarter pole, was overtaken into the stretch, chased MY MUNNINGS MODEL into the final furlong and weakened in the final stages. DANGEROUS GAME was a bit keen while close up to the early pace, tracked the leading pair while saving ground into the backstretch, had to pause behind a tiring foe entering the far turn, chased two to three wide to upper stretch, needed more into the final furlong and gave way late. MOUNT PELLIAR allowed to settle in the early running, coaxed three to four wide to the half-mile marker, chased into the far turn, swung widest to upper stretch and did not offer the needed late response. WEEKEND FLAME settled in the second flight and outside of rivals in the early going, coaxed three wide to the half-mile, gave chase into the far turn then swung four wide to upper stretch, lacked the needed response at the furlong pole and tired in the final sixteenth. THIRTY SECONDS OUT was hustled away from the start, contested the early pace from the inside, engaged with BENNY BUCKETS and dueled through solid fractions while inside of that rival heading to the half-mile, battled into the far turn, lost position to upper stretch then came up empty in the late stages. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
