BIG STETSON raced close up to the early pace, pressed three deep to the turn then dueled to the quarter pole, shook free of MISTER O into upper stretch, drew away into the final furlong and was ridden out as much the best. IM GUNNA allowed to settle in the early running, saved ground into the turn then got caught a bit in tight nearing the quarter marker, shifted two wide for the stretch drive and rallied into the final furlong, was no match for the winner in the late stages but was clear in the end for the place. CLASSIC ALPHIE got bumped at the start and was off a bit slowly, allowed to settle in the early running, coaxed outside of foes into the turn, swung widest to upper stretch and closed for third in the late stages. TOWHEE broke in and bumped inner rival at the start, was well placed in the early stages, tracked between foes into the turn then chased from the inside nearing the quarter pole, gained ground into the stretch, could not sustain that run to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. HUGH GLASS broke awkwardly and was off a bit slowly, tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, lost ground while three to four wide nearing the quarter pole, stayed on into the stretch and passed tiring rivals in the late stages. BARKLEY'S IMAGE broke awkwardly and was off a bit slowly, settled off of the early pace while not far back, coaxed two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, swung four wide to upper stretch, needed more in the final stages and finished evenly. LORD ANTHEM tracked the early pace from the second flight, was well placed to the turn and chased three wide nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit into upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and weakened late. UH OH EL TRAVADOR got crowded at the start and was away a bit slowly, lacked early speed and trailed into the turn, saved ground to upper stretch and did not factor late. MISTER O broke in at the start and crowded inner rival, showed good early speed and contested the pace from the inside along the backstretch, dueled inside of BIG STETSON into the turn, disputed a solid pace to the quarter marker then was repelled into upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and gave way. SUAVE VRON was away in good order and pressed the early pace from between rivals, contested the pace to the turn then got shuffled back nearing the three-eighths, chased the dueling leaders to the quarter pole, lacked the needed response into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
