Chart notes
GOSPEL COZY broke sharply to claim the lead, opened up a couple lengths in the turn, never switched leads, began weakening in the final furlong but just held. GOSPEL PRECIOUS tracked the early pace, began closing in three wide through the turn, entered the stretch just behind the pace, switched leads approaching the eighth, continued to rally but just missed. MYSTICAL CODE was bumped by inside foe at the start, found position around the middle of the pack, angled out five wide in the stretch to show a good rally but needed more. THUNDERMUNNYBALL was pinched back at the start, raced off the pace along the inside, gained a few positions in the turn before taking to the four path of the stretch to make a few more improvements. LITTLE IRIS was rated four wide around the middle of the pack, dropped back off the pace in turn, passed tiring foes in the stretch. AUNT LOTTIE was rated along the inside, angled out in the two path to pass retreating foe in the turn, faded in the final furlong. BILLIE BABY was bumped at the start, trailed for most, passed retreating foe. PRESLEYS VOLLEY pressed the pace from the inside, began retreating at the quarter.
