Chart notes
DREAM KNIGHT hopped at the start, chased in the four path up the backstretch, ranged up under a drive in the three path passing the quarter, bid at the top of the lane, held command passing the eighth pole, and drew clear in the final sixteenth. MAGICAL MONARCH showed the way in the two path, was cued while holding a firm advantage passing the quarter, fought on while losing the lead in upper stretch, yielded to the winner around the sixteenth, but held place. SAILOR'S CHANCE trailed in the four path entering the backstretch, was driven around the far turn, swung from the six path into the lane, and kept on for show. SMASH was up close in the three path, pushed along around the far turn, but flattened down the stretch. AULD LANGE SYNE rated in the two path early but did not threaten. ANDY CANT tracked in the three path, was driven along the inside around the far turn, but weakened in the final furlong.
