KEEP UP THE PACE found position around the middle of the pack, began closing some ground between foes after the half to track the pace from the inside upon entering the stretch, got up for the show award but was no match for the top two. SOCIAL SOONER was rated along the inside, moved up to press the pace through the far turn, faded down the stretch. KING OF SAMURAI found position around the middle of the pack, advanced four wide up the backstretch to track the pace through the far turn, weakened at the quarter. DOUBLE R CAT raced off the pace, attempted to make progress six wide in the far turn but had nothing left for the stretch. GOSPEL JOURNEY tracked the early pace, began retreating in the far turn. WAR FOR GOLD was seven wide through the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace until trailing at the half, passed retreating foe. THE SQUEAKER took charge in the two path shortly after the start, continued on up the backstretch under pressure until giving way at the seven sixteenths, began retreating in the turn, eased across. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
