THEDAYOFTHEGREY saved ground setting the pace, responded when challenged by ELLIOT THE DRAGON nearing the quarter pole and prevailed under strong handling. ELLIOT THE DRAGON was forwardly placed from the outset, offered a bid two-wide nearing the quarter pole but was unable to get by THEDAYOFTHEGREY in a steady effort. LUST FOR LIFE was allowed to settle, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. ZAKARIA chased THEDAYOFTHGEGREY early while two-wide, came three-wide into the stretch and weakened. INTO GOLD saved ground while being unhurried and failed to seriously threaten. EL MARRO raced in the back of the field, came three-wide into the stretch and was not a factor. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
