TALK TO ME JIMMY got brushed at the start in the hind quarters by MAILATA due to pressure from STAR SWEEPER breaking outwards, raced four then three wide through the first turn forwardly placed before taking narrow command near the seven-eighths marker, settled into a comfortable rhythm and in hand three then two wide into the backstretch, continued just off the inside into the far turn and was given a notch to work with and shook away from the midpoint on the turn and spun just off the inside into upper stretch placed to a drive, went clear under a drive and was kept busy through to the wire. GRITTINESS coaxed from the gate, got placed in tight one mile from home when OTTINHO tucked inwards outside of SCHOOLYARDSUPERMAN, settled at the tail of the field and raced along the inside through the first turn and into the backstretch before tipping to the two path five furlongs from home, tipped three then four wide near the seven-sixteenths placed to light coaxing, angled out seven wide into upper stretch under a drive, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to improve position and secure the place honors. OTTINHO coaxed from the start, crossed over and placed a pair of rivals in tight quarters along the fence with one mile to run, saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, came under urging nearing the five-sixteenths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals to garner the show honors. SCHOOLYARDSUPERMAN coaxed from the gate, was briefly in tight between foes one mile from home, when OTTINHO tucked inwards from the outside, raced along the inside through the first turn showing the way briefly until midway on that first turn, remained inside into the backstretch before tipping out three to four paths off the rail with six furlongs to go, went three wide through the far turn coming under encouragement three furlongs from home, tipped four wide into upper stretch and weakened. STAR SWEEPER broke out at the start bumping MAILATA into the rear of TALK TO ME JIMMY, chased just off the inside and briefly inside midway on the far turn when ridden along, spun three wide into upper stretch and tired. FOURTH AND ONE broke out at the start and was corrected, raced four wide into the first turn and grew eager under restraint pulling on the bit unsettled tucking briefly three wide midway, tipped back out four wide seven furlongs out when MAILATA tipped three wide in front at that station, continued to pull against the restraint of the rider until given some rein six furlongs from home, settled five then four paths off the inside down the backstretch, went four then three wide through the far turn, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and faltered in the drive. MAILATA got bumped at the start by STAR SWEEPER and made light contact with the hind end of TALK TO ME JIMMY, raced just off the inside through the first turn until tipped three wide seven furlongs out forcing FOURTH AND ONE to head four wide at that juncture, chased five then four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the far turn, tipped five to six wide into upper stretch and folded.
