Chart notes
GLEN AIRY tracked the early pace four wide, moved up to take charge at the three sixteenths, kept to task to hold off a late rally. EYE DEE KAY was rated along the inside, took towards the outside of the stretch, brushed out by CURAHEE just after the eighth, found best stride too late. CURAHEE was a tad fractious in the gate, moved up to press the pace through the first turn, shadowed the pace up the backstretch before launching a bid midway through the far turn to take command, drifted out down the stretch and gave way to GLEN AIRY at the three sixteenths, continued to drift out despite right handed urging to brush into EYE DEE KAY, weakened to third. NATIONAL ECLIPSE trailed for most, passed retreating foe in the stretch. MACHINE GUN MAN showed good early speed along the inside, came under heavy pressure approaching the far turn and conceded the lead midway through the turn, weakened then on.
