Chart notes
BENOIT quickly claimed the early lead, led up the backstretch until coming under immense pressure in the far turn, kept to task down the stretch to narrowly hold off driving foes. HIGHLAND CREEK shadowed the pace through the first turn and up the backstretch, moved up to put heavy pressure on the leader in the far turn, continued to apply pressure down the stretch but was just held off by the winner. HE'S LATE AGAIN was rated three wide around the middle of the pack, drifted out a bit in the upper stretch before straightening out in the final furlong, rallied but came up just short. COSMIC TRAIN was rated along the inside, took towards the outside at the eighth but could not close. MACHO BEANIE shook his head right before the gate opened to be off a step slow, trailed through the first turn, continued off the pace and never threatened. BALLINONABUDJET trailed after the first turn, made no impact.
