Chart notes
ZORRO D' ORO made the lead and was left alone to dictate moderate early fractions to the far turn, got first run into the stretch, opened up, then held safe from a pair of rivals through the stretch under strong handling and urging. BAKER HAYFIELD tracked close up three-wide through the early stages, had to go four-wide into the stretch, battled gamely and finished strong but could not get up. RENTON settled in mid-pack along the rail, moved up through the far turn to be well positioned for the sprintot the finish, gave a good effort up the inside but could not reel in the winner. ASHBURNER settled in cover in the middle of the pack, was boxed in through most of the far turn, then tried to rally up the rail when clear but was not good enough. READY AND ABLE trailed well behind the field turning onto the main course, settled at the rear of a fairly compact field to the far turn, dropped back a bit as the pace quickened late on the turn, chased wide the stretch, and managed to catch a couple of foes. AMENTUM raced at least three-wide throughout, settled near the back of the field, and was outfinished. BUCK O FIVE pressed the pace two-wide to the far turn, then was outkicked in the stretch.
